Three armed men stormed into a home this morning, and held at gunpoint its occupants while ransacking the residence and demanding for money, Salinas police said. Shortly before 9 a.m., police said, officers responded to a report of a home invasion robbery in the 1100 block of Raven Court. They said two women and two children were home when there was a knock on the front door. One of the women opened the door, police said, to find a man holding a black handgun beside his right leg. They said the woman screamed and tried to close to door. Police said the armed man pushed the door open with help from two others. Inside, they said, one of the men held the occupants in the living room at gunpoint while his two accomplices raided the home. The men kept demanding the occupants to hand over money, police said, although there wasn't any. They said it's unclear whether anything was taken from the home. Police said the men fled the home on foot and were last seen on Raven Court crossing into the walkway toward Mustang Court. The armed man was described as 28-years-old, 5 feet 7 inches tall, medium build and 180 pounds, they said. Witnesses also reported that he carried a black handgun wore a black beanie and a gray hooded sweatshirt, police said. The second man, holding a handgun, was described having shoulder-length curly black hair which stuck out from a black ski mask he wore, they said. The third man also wore a black ski mask, police said, and was armed with a handgun. They said the three men have some similarities to a robbery the Monterey County Sheriff's Office responded to shortly after on Alisal Road. Police said the men were reported fleeing the scene in a white Chevrolet Envoy or Blazer.
